International Languages Week
When?
Sunday 15 - Saturday 21 August 2010
What?
International Languages Week celebrates the diversity of languages used in New Zealand and throughout the world. The focus of ILW is on promoting the teaching, learning and use of foreign languages in New Zealand.
International Languages Week gives communities the opportunity to recognise and
value the languages spoken around the world. It provides
an opportunity to develop the community's awareness of the languages and cultures around them and to highlight
the benefits of learning additional languages.
