Services for Schools
Schools in New Zealand are now required to offer a second language to years 7, 8, 9 and 10. Euroasia can help schools to meet this commitment in two ways: firstly, by directly providing language teaching; and secondly, by offering teachers’ courses to help equip existing teachers to do this work themselves.
Language teaching
Introducing a foreign language to children may be an obligation, but it is also hugely beneficial. It can give them:
- a feel and a taste for language learning
- some of the basics in an important foreign language
- contact with someone from another country and culture
- a headstart in further language learning – whether this language or another
- a better understanding of their own language
- mental stimulation
- practice in memorising new material
However, if you have not previously offered a foreign language, being required to do so can obviously be a hassle. Therefore, Euroasia will:
- provide native-speaker, qualified teachers, experienced in teaching younger learners
- take care of all the issues regarding the curriculum, materials etc.
- take away the burden of having to engage specific staff who might only be required for a few hours a week anyway.

Teachers’ courses
You may well have teachers at your school already who are potentially equipped to teach a language to the children there. However, their own language skills may be a little rusty, and they may lack confidence.
Euroasia has specially-designed courses which will:
- help teachers work on the language they will be teaching
- re-awaken lost skills
- give teachers confidence
- allow an exchange of ideas about the methodology of language teaching
