International staffing and orientation

If you are managing significant numbers of staff from one particular country, the culture-specific briefings that we provide in our cross-cultural training and support programmes will be of great use.

In addition, we offer the Euroasia orientation programme designed to equip staff from overseas with the basic knowledge they need in order to work successfully in New Zealand.  Our programme covers areas as diverse as:

- relating effectively with New Zealanders,

- the tax system,

- health and safety,

- workplace expectations,

- housing,

- education,

- and the basics of daily life in New Zealand.

Are you finding it hard to source the staff you require?  Through our links with employment agencies in selected countries overseas, we can assist you in finding the personnel you need.  We can help to recruit staff either for your overseas branch or for your operations here in New Zealand. Check out Euroasia Cross Cultural.  Understand the potential problems before they arise!

Language assessment

It’s obviously important that staff coming to New Zealand have the English skills they need in order to work here effectively.  However, the well-known examinations such as IELTS, which are used for immigration purposes, do not always measure the kind of practical skills which employees require – speaking on the phone, writing e-mails etc.    The Euroasia assessment service shows you clearly what potential employees can do in terms of real-world language competence.  First we talk to you about the level of skills which you require; then we analyse your potential staff to see whether they fit the bill.  We can also recommend how they should improve.

We provide an individual quotation for all corporate services based on the specific assignment.  Please Contact us to discuss your particular requirements.

For more information or a quotation, please contact Kenneth Leong, Director of Euroasia.

Research

Do you require research to be carried out in a foreign language or using non-English media?   Of course, if you just want a rough idea of one point, it’s not hard to do that yourself on the Internet.  But if you wish to carry out some extensive research, or if you need to get accurate information, it may not be wise to rely on Internet translations or guesswork.

The Euroasia team consists of many able and knowledgeable people who are specialists in particular countries and fields.  We are multi-lingual, and would be happy to assist.  If necessary, we can also use our extensive networks to source people able to work on your behalf in particular countries.

Are you looking for lists of prospective partners overseas?  We may also be able to help to find contacts and recommend appropriate introductions.

For more information or a quotation, please contact Kenneth Leong, Director of Euroasia.

Guided visits

Visits to New Zealand

Euroasia can arrange itineraries and provide tour guides for groups or individuals visiting New Zealand.  Of course, any tour operator could also do this directly, but where we perhaps differ is that we would supply a guide who understands not only New Zealand, but also the country from which your guests are coming, together with their cultural background.  He or she would be well-informed, and able to interact intelligently with your guests.

Subject to legal requirements, we would either organise the whole programme ourselves or else co-operate with a reputable tour operator to make the logistical arrangements.

Visits overseas

Again, Euroasia may be able to help.  We offer the services of a high-calibre guide who will accompany you on your trip.   He or she will have an excellent general education, a high degree of competence in English and in the language of the country concerned, a deep knowledge of that country, together with a thorough understanding of the New Zealand context.  Of course, this service is not cheap, but in the context of important negotiations which could be worth substantial amounts of money, it may well be worth investing in having someone take care of all those issues which, if handled efficiently, could be crucial to success.

If you wish, we can liaise with a travel agent on your behalf to arrange tickets etc.

For more information or a quotation, please contact Kenneth Leong, Director of Euroasia.
