Although it’s largely spoken in just one country, Italian has long been a popular language to learn. It is, of course, the language of music, and a great language of art and literature. Italian cinema is popular around the world, and the people of Italy are noted for their exuberance and vitality.
Italian is not normally taught in schools in New Zealand, so this may be the only opportunity children will have of becoming acquainted with a language and culture which, later on, may come to fascinate them.
The language is not hard to learn, and its musicality lends itself to rhyme and to song. Children will also be less inhibited than adults about getting into the flow of the language and letting themselves go! Euroasia’s Italian courses for children are a really valuable introduction to a much-loved language!
