Online Japanese language courses

Most online Japanese courses available globally are essentially recorded videos, a series of automated quizzes or computer flashcards.

The Euroasia offering is unique: you join a "live" Japanese lesson with a real teacher. There will be other students in the "class". With the advent of technology, we have now managed to replicate the classroom environment that Euroasia is well-known for. In putting together the online Japanese programme, we have taken what we've learnt from a a decade of experience teaching Japanese in a bricks-and-mortar environment.

How does the online Japanese course work?
  • Classes are conducted live; you will not be watching a recorded lesson.
  • Participants may be located anywhere in the world.
  • We have a maximum of 10 students per class.
  • The courses have the same duration and cover the same material as our other language courses. The prices are also the same.
  • There is a set time for the courses, and all the participants sign in to take part at that time.
  • The teacher, based at one of our teaching centres, delivers the course.
  • The teacher can interact with the group as a whole or with individual students.
  • Students can interact with other members of the group for activities in pairs; the teacher can monitor the pairs.
  • Students’ privacy is protected: it’s not possible for members of the class to gain access to other members’ contact details.
  • The online language courses are based on our standard course material.
  • Students need to have Skype installed on their computers to participate.
Why would I learn Japanese online?

These courses are ideal for people who:

  • Live outside an area where Spanish classes are delivered.
  • Can't make the times when Spanish classes are held at a teaching centre.
  • Appreciate the convenience of learning from home or from the office.

And you still benefit from interacting with other enthusiastic Japanese language learners!

These Japanese language courses are most suitable for people with reasonable computer skills who have had some experience of Skype/web conferencing.

What do I need?
  • Broadband, webcam and headset. Most modern PCs/laptops will work.
  • We use Skype as our training platform. Please install Skype if you haven't done so.
  • Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email from us with course instructions. Please reply to this email with your Skype username. We can then add you to our Skype account.
  • At the appointed day/time, we will call you via Skype. Please be ready, and connected to your headset and webcam. Skype has a testing service which you can use to test whether your connection is working. Please refer to Skype Support for troubleshooting. Although you can use your iPhone/iPad/Android for this course, we recommend you use a proper computer for optimal performance.
  • Well before the start of the course, we provide you with all the information you need to download the materials and take part in the classes. If necessary, we also offer a separate familiarisation session a short while before the start so everyone in the class is ready for language learning right from the very beginning.

What our students say
  • “Since attending classes at Euroasia my Mandarin has improved a lot. I can talk about a lot of different things now and I can understand more than I could before. Thank you.”
